The 3 I's (Intent, Implementation, Impact) and RE policy
This document defines our vision for R.E.: what we intend for our children to know about different faiths and beliefs, how we ensure teaching promotes respect, understanding, and critical thinking, and the positive impact this has on their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
Progression of skills
Our Progression Map clearly shows the step-by-step journey of learning from Early Years to Year 6. It ensures that pupils develop two core skills sequentially: 'Knowing About' (substantive knowledge of religions) and 'Expressing and Responding' (disciplinary skills of evaluation and reflection).
Long Term Plan
This plan details the specific units of study covered in R.E. throughout the academic year for every class, focusing on the required major world religions and non-religious worldviews. It ensures compliance with the Locally Agreed Syllabus.
Agreed RE syllabus
This link confirms that our R.E. curriculum is fully compliant with the locally agreed statutory syllabus for our area.
