This document outlines our vision for the Early Years Foundation Stage at Newton Westpark. It explains what we intend for our children to experience and learn, how we provide high-quality teaching and learning through play and purposeful interactions, and the positive impact this has on children’s development, confidence and readiness for the next stage of their education.

Our EYFS progression documentation clearly sets out how children’s learning and development builds over time. It shows how key knowledge, skills and behaviours develop from entry into EYFS through to the end of Reception, ensuring learning is carefully sequenced, age-appropriate and supports smooth transition into Key Stage 1.
