The 3 I's (Intent, Implementation, Impact) and Computing Policy

This document defines our vision for computing: what we intend for our children to know (e.g., programming concepts, data representation), how we ensure high-quality teaching of practical and theoretical skills, and the positive impact this has on their ability to use technology safely, confidently, and creatively.

Progression of skills

Our Progression Map clearly shows the step-by-step journey of learning from Year 1 to Year 6 across three core areas: Computer Science (programming and algorithms), Information Technology (using software), and Digital Literacy (e-safety and responsible use).

Long Term Plan

This plan details the specific units and topics covered in Computing throughout the academic year for every class (e.g., 'Programming with Scratch,' 'Online Safety,' or 'Data Logging'). It ensures comprehensive coverage of the National Curriculum's required content and concepts.
