This week, in science, we investigated the effects of refraction. Refraction is the bending of light as it passes from one transparent substance into another. We investigated what happened to an arrow and other pictures when we looked at it through a glass of water .
This week in Science we have been learning about the eat well plate and the different food groups. The children worked in groups and made their own eat well plate. They did a fantastic job of sorting the foods into the correct food groups. Please see our pictures below.
Last week we began our new topic in Science on habitats. We explored the school grounds to see how many habitats we could discover. We found lots of insects and they all had different habitats. Here are some examples of what we found.
We had an excellent day at out taster day at The Westleigh School. We had 4 different lessons, we got to ask lots of questions and it was a good insight to what the school is like. Please see our pictures below.
We have made such a good start to the school year! We have already learned lots and we are doing great with our extra responsibilities and being good role models for the other children.
