Ancient Greek Warfare

Today, Year 6 took part in a workshop about Ancient Greek warfare. First, we learnt about how the Ancient Greek hoplites used to fight and what weapons they used. We then made our own helmets and shields. We used our helmets, shields and spears to create a phalanx and reenact the battle of Marathon. We really enjoyed ourselves and learned lots about Ancient Greek warfare!

This week in Year 4 we have been working hard writing letters to our pen pals. Most of us have finished and our letters will soon be making the journey all the way to the Isle of Wight! We are very excited to have pen pals and cannot wait until we receive our letters back! image

Harvest Assembly

Today was our Harvest assembly. This year, we decided to base our harvest assembly on being thankful for water. We can often forget how lucky we are to have clean water straight to our taps and rain that helps our crops grow. Each class shared poems, songs and information about water and lots of people donated food. Thank you for coming and for all of your generous donations!
